The Linux release of JobMatch AI Agent supports modern distribution

What it does

  • Works for you, on your machine. It looks for openings the way you would, from your own computer and connection, and keeps only the ones that match your resume and goals.
  • Starts with your computer and runs quietly in the background. It stays idle until you ask JobMatch to find jobs.

What it does not do

  • It listens only on your own machine. Nothing else on your network can reach it.
  • It talks to nothing but JobMatch and the job sites you choose to look at.
  • It reads no files and no browsing history.

Removing it

  • Windows: delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\JobMatchAgent folder and the JobMatchAgent value under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
  • macOS: delete the app, ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.jobmatch.agent.plist, and the JobMatchAgent item in Keychain Access.
  • Linux: run systemctl --user disable --now com.jobmatch.agent, then delete the unit file and the binary.

Everything except finding new jobs on your behalf works without the agent: uploading a resume, adding a job by hand and scoring it all run on our servers.
